Candidate for East Central Director

I live in Eaton Rapids, Michigan with my husband Douglas, and we have a 24 year old daughter, Jenelle, who lives in Savannah, GA. I live on a small horse and hay farm and have been active in the agricultural community for most of my life, having been raised on my family’s farm.

I recently retired from the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, where I served as a District Conservationist for 33 years. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree with dual majors in Biology and Earth Science, and a minor in Conservation.

My involvement with German Shorthaired Pointers (GSPs) began in 1986 with the purchase of my first GSP female, who later became the foundation bitch of Wynsom GSPs. Since then, I’ve participated in conformation, hunt tests, obedience, and NAVHDA events with dogs I’ve bred, owned, or handled for my puppy buyers. Over the years, I’ve bred numerous AKC, CKC, and UKC champions, including multiple Best in Specialty Show and Group-winning dogs. I have also produced several dogs with JH, SH, MH, NAVHDA NA, UT, CD, and CDX titles. I am proud to be recognized as an AKC Breeder of Merit and as a GSP Preservation Breeder dedicated to producing versatile dogs.

I have been a member of the Ingham Kennel Club, the Mt. Pleasant Kennel Club, and the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Michigan. I am also a longtime member in good standing of the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America (GSPCA).

I strongly believe in the value of the health-tested dual GSP and am committed to producing quality, family-owned companions who are truly cherished. Our dogs deserve nothing less.
