Jacobsohn Heavy Horse Clay Sculpture
This pair of horses is 17″ tall and weighs a little over 50 pounds. The oak leaf stem on the gate symbolizes all that ties us to one another is frail and we stay together because we want to. Click on image to view in detail!
The artist is Nan Cavener Jacobsohn. She is known for her stylized big butt horses, beautiful clay animal masks carried by the River Gallery in Chattanooga, and for being the mother of world famous sculptor, Beth Cavener. Nan uses processes to give earthy non shiny finishes.
