Candidate for Vice President

Hello!

My name is Cyndi Boysen. I was born and raised in Texas. My husband and I currently live with our dogs in the Texas Hill Country. I am running for the position of Vice President for the GSPCA. I am currently the Vice President, appointed in May 2025. I am also the liaison for the Yearbook Committee and the Meet the Breeds Committee. I served as the GSPCA Recording Secretary from 2014-2020. I have owned German Shorthaired Pointers since 1985. I have been involved with my GSPs in conformation, field trials, assisted animal therapy, rescue, and dabbled with obedience, agility, fast  CAT, and dock diving. 

I am excited about the new leadership of the GSPCA and support the efforts to continue to advance and expand our Club. I am thrilled to see that our members are becoming more involved with our committees and events. I believe that our members have a wide range of knowledge, experience and perspectives to contribute. Communication between the members, the dog community and the board of directors is key to the success of our Club. Our Club and our breed will always have challenges to face. I feel that my experience will assist me in helping make decisions that will strengthen our Club and keep it headed in a positive direction.
