Join the Fort Dearborn German Shorthaired Pointer Club for a two-day AKC Licensed Hunt Test and Amateur Walking Puppy (AWP) event for all registerable pointing breeds. The event will be held at Des Plaines Conservation Area – West Grounds on September 19–20, 2026. Participants will compete in Amateur Walking Puppy, Junior, Senior, and Master Hunt Test stakes. AKC & GSPCA Water Tests will also be held on Saturday.

Important Information
Open to all registerable pointing breeds.
Quail will be released in all Hunt Test levels.
No birds will be released in the Amateur Walking Puppy stake.
AKC-approved tracking collars are permitted.
Bitches in season are not permitted.
All participants, spectators, and judges must wear blaze orange clothing and headwear in the field.
Illinois residents participating as handlers, scouts, or gunners must possess a valid Illinois hunting license and habitat stamp. Non-residents are exempt under an IDNR waiver.
